Rafail Saltas & Zili Christoni

Rafail: Born in Mytilene, Lesvos island, started at age of 10  traditional dances, participating in several dance performances. In 2004 started in Mytilene Argentine Tango. In 2005 he continued Latin and Argentine Tango in Athens where he met his wife and since then they continue to be a dancing couple. His great love for music made him soon to be distinguished for his musical choices as a Tango Dj. He holds a professional degree teaching Associate of the IDTA (International Dance Teacher Association)

Zili: Born in Larissa, starting at age of 5 years classical ballet, modern dance and folk dances, with excellent discrimination in space. Early on it seemed the choreographic ability, as the age of 14 she choreographed (modern dance) the performance of the school on poems set to music by Nikos Kavvadia. While studying in England she worked with modern dance. In 2001 she returned to Athens and went on Jazz, Latin and European dances. She holds a professional degree teaching Associate of the IDTA (International Dance Teacher Association) in Latin with eight distinctions, 7 gold medals and one silver medal at national championships. In 2003-2004 she attended theater classes and took part in a dance-theater performances (The madness of SAGIA).

 During 2005-2010 Rafail & Zili while they were living in Athens they started working professionaly as a dancing couple. They studied among the best teacher of Argentine Tango in Greece and  they still attending seminars around the world with the great masters of the genre.

In 2010 they moved permanently in Larissa and since then they teach Tango in the cities Larissa, Lamia and Trikala(2011-2013).They have participated as Maestros in many festivals, seminars, performances and cultural events in Greece and abroad. Some of the most important are: Rosso Tango Art Festival 2013 (Cagliari-Sardenia), Athens Tango Festival 2012 (Athens), Greece Tango Festival 2012 (Thessaloniki), Lesvos Tango Meeting 2012 (Lesvos),

Argentine Tango Rafail and Zili stand out for their particular style they have developed in their dance, harmoniously combining elegance, speed and musicality. The lessons are fun and structured in such a way that the student reach their maximum potential. Apart from improving the technical, pay particular attention to the communication of couples, respect for tradition and codes of Tango.

They are the organizers: Milonga LUNATICA Larissa, Milonga Del Corazon in Trikala (2011-2013) and Panthessalikis Milonga(2012-2013) an event dedicated exclusively to Argentine Tango composed of four organisers of the four Provinces of Thessaly (cities Larisa, Trikala, Karditsa, Volos) for the dissemination and promotion of Argentine Tango in Thessaly. Also in 2013 they organized  theTango Escape to Litochoro.

In 2014 established the cultural group TangoLarissa and since then they organise seminars and events .
